MY06-07 Impreza WRX STI

The first 2.5L STI arrived in Australia during the latter half of 2005, featuring all the previous tuff-stuff and now a more interactive open ratio 6 speed transmission.

Engine: 2.5L with IHI VF43 turbocharger + AVCS (Active Valve Control System) + TGV (Tumble Generating Valves) + DBW (Drive By Wire) throttle + intercooler water-spray.

Transmission: Open ratio 6MT, auto/man 41/59 split DCCD (Driver’s Control Centre Differential).

Clutch: 240mm Pull Type with Stepped Flywheel.

Wheels & Tyres: Wheel Size =17 x 8, ET = 53, PCD = 5 x 114.3 with a 225/45 ZR17 91W tyre.

Other POI: The DBW (Drive By Wire) electronic throttle combined with extra torque of the 2.5L took Subaru world some getting used to, but with the right upgrades and tuning there is no looking back.
