When developing the GC8 MY99 - MY00 Subaru WRX/STI Top Mounted Intercooler (TMIC), the goal was to make it the very best aftermarket top mounted intercooler of its kind!

Taking a fresh approach formed from years of motorsport and component design experience, Process West are proud to announce the new ‘Verticooler’ slant mount intercooler system of the G3 series (2008-2014) WRX. Designed and engineered with rapid air-charge cooling and flow-path efficiency as the key objectives, Verticooler is a revolutionary take on Subaru intercooler design that takes turbocharger cooling to a new and previously un-seen level, guaranteeing the best performance and improved engine durability.

The Verticooler combines the advantages of a large and free-flowing Process West core (400mm flow length, 205mm stack height, 120mm thick) with a design that mounts the new intercooler at a 15 degree, near vertical angle in the engine bay. Packaged with a new hood duct design that force-feeds external airflow straight onto the intercooler fins, there is now a highly efficient air exit path courtesy of the Verticooler mounting angle that flows all of this (now heated) air back down through the engine bay and out the underside of the car through the transmission tunnel for a shallow, cool, and low restriction exit-path. Compare then the near on 90 degree angle that the air must turn with the stock intercooler setup in place, and the advantages of the Process West Verticooler design become clear.

The new Process West Front Mount Intercooler Kit for the 2015+ Subaru VA WRX allows for superior air intake cooling. This is achieved by using light-weight CNC mandrel bent aluminuim intercooler piping and a large 685 x 275 x 85mm bar & plate intercooler core. 

The beautiful thing about this front mount kit is that there is no cutting required in order to fit and install, and everything you need to complete install is included in the kit - i.e. hose clamps, intercooler brackets etc.

 Comes with a choice of a black powdercoat or silver finish.

The goal when developing our new top mounted intercooler was to make it the very best aftermarket top mounted intercooler for the Forester.

We studied our competitors products and fixed all of the mistakes they have made...some of them major.

The most obvious error that every one of our competitors makes is not supplying their intercooler with proper ducting/shrouding to suit the increased size of the new intercooler. There is no point in installing a larger intercooler and leaving the factory under bonnet splitter/shroud in place. Here is the solution. A properly sized splitter/shroud to suit the application.

Increasing the intercooler surface area beyond that of the factory unit is all well and good but only if all of the ambient air is available to all of the upgrade intercooler so maximum heat exchange can take place. The answer here is of course a revised under bonnet duct.

The new Process West 04-09 Liberty GT Top Mount Intercooler addresses all of the above issues and it does it very well. Process West's new Top Mounted Intercooler is virtually a small front mounted intercooler mounted in the engine bay.

With a massive 400mm flow length (almost double the factory unit) and a not too thick 90mm bar and plate core an effective top mount is now here.

Process West 2015+ WRX TGV Deletes 

PLEASE NOTE: FUEL LINES AND INJECTORS ARE NOT SUPPLIED WITH THIS KIT.

Designed for the MY15+ FA20DIT WRX the Process West ‘DITTO’ (Direct Injection Tubular Original) compromises a mix of billet plenum and cast large bore runners to achieve the highest intake flow rates possible.  Over 12 months from initial design to testing on our own in-house WRX has allowed us to ensure not only guaranteed performance gains (see attached dyno sheet of a totally standard WRX with and without DITTO) but also perfect fitment. Note DITTO is a direct fit for Process West top and front mount intercooler equipped vehicles.* (see application notes below).

Power gains come from computer designed and tested internal plenum porting and an overall larger volume and greater runner capacity for optimal cylinder filling. Not only does DITTO offer these advantages but it is also part of our new ‘NO CEL’ product range that allows fitment to a totally standard vehicle with no Check Engine Light or Tuning required. Obviously even further improved results can be achieved in tuned versions of the FA20, with our experience showing the greater the power output, the greater the gains!

The Port Injection DITTO RACE version provides unmatched tuning flexibility in the form of an additional 4 port injector mounts. Designed to take any EV-14 specification fuel injector this delivers tuners the flexibility to add substantial extra amounts of fuel from an aftermarket ecu/injector driver to give a true 1000+hp worth of capacity. Whilst Process West don’t offer the computer hardware, we do deliver the functionality that highly tuned engines need.

Process West DITTO will directly fit with all front mount intercooler kits that use the stock inlet manifold.

Process West DITTO may require other brand (non-Process West) Top Mount Intercoolers have bracket modifications to fit.

For cars requiring even more power in the upper rev range the track version can be supplied with shorter billet TGV's (lower runner section). HERE

To counter this Process West have developed the SEPR8R, an advanced catch can system for your high performance engine that uses state of the art industrial filtration methods and integrates them into a seamless and properly engineered product

The SEPR8R comes as a complete bolt on generic fit kit easily adapted to any performance engine bay. With the SEPR8R kit you will receive the billet aluminium catch can with internal filtration system, a precision bracket to bolt into your engine bay, hoses to route the gasses, along with the required clamps and mounting hardware. This is a simple DIY application.
